The Sigma AF 56mm f/1.4 DC DN (C) is one of a range of large aperture prime lenses released by Sigma, designed to vastly improve the kits of Mirrorless users. With Sony E-Mount, MFT and EOS M mount options available, this 56mm is a portrait-friendly telephoto lens, featuring the high-end optical quality of Sigma's Contemporary range, as well as a compact, lightweight design. The bright f1.4 maximum aperture produces plenty of bokeh, while smooth and quiet AF is available, suitable for both stills and video.
In keeping with Sigma's Contemporary range, the 56mm f1.4 lens produces sharp and detailed images and is housed in a well-built body which is rugged as well as portable.
This lightweight prime lens can comfortably become part of your everyday kit, while it features a dust and moisture-resistant mount with rubber sealing.
As well as super multi-layer coating, which reduces flare and ghosting, SLD and Aspherical elements are included in the optical construction of this lens, assuring beautiful pictures under a host of conditions.
The Sigma AF 56mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary lens features a stepping motor, which results in fast and smooth autofocus, suited to stills and video purposes.
telephoto prime lens from Sigma, this 56mm f1.4 DC DN is available in Sony E, Canon EOS M and Micro Four Thirds mounts. On APS-C format bodies this lens provides an 84mm equivalent, while on the smaller MFT mount, the equivalent length is a longer 112mm.
This lens is suited to portraiture, delivering a tighter crop without you having to be too close and in your subject's personal space, while the bright f1.4 maximum aperture is capable of capturing the exceptionally shallow depths of fields desired by aspiring portrait photographers.
